Who this is for

Two kinds of people find their way here.

Some are practitioners: seeing clients, building a business practice. Who finished their training and realized that the real education begins when you're sitting across from an actual person who needs help. They want a confidential space to talk through cases, sharpen their skills, and find out what other experienced practitioners are doing.

Others are serious students and lifelong learners who study flower essences deeply. They don't plan to see clients, but this work has become central to how they understand themselves and the world. They want to go further than any course has taken them, in the company of people who understand why that matters.

Both belong here.

The Gap

Flower essence training opens something in us.

We come away with knowledge, with a felt sense of how the essences work, with a genuine desire to use them well — for ourselves, for our clients, for the animals in our care. And then we step back into our lives, and the questions begin.

Did I handle that client situation well? Is there an essence I'm missing? How do other practitioners approach this? How do I talk about this work to people who've never heard of it? How do I keep going deeper when there's no obvious next step?

Most of us navigate these questions alone, turning them over in our own minds without anyone to think alongside.

This membership exists for that exact moment, and every moment like it that follows.

What You Receive

The Essence Deepening Membership is built around four interconnected elements that work together: live community, structured learning, an ever-growing content library, and access to our on-demand course catalog at a discount. A steady monthly cadence that keeps your practice moving forward.

Monthly Deepening Sessions

Each month we go further into a single topic together.

A piece of content from the Deepening Collection is shared with members in advance: a lecture, a plant study, a recorded conversation.

You have time to watch, listen, and sit with it before we gather live to explore it together. These sessions are where ideas move from information into understanding.

Upcoming topics include Botanical Plant Families and Ancestral and Collective Trauma.

Schedule:

  • 2nd Wednesday of the month
  • 10am Pacific | 1pm Eastern
  • 90 minutes facilitated circle
  • +30 minutes breakout room social time
  • Sessions are recorded for those who can't attend live

The Deepening Collection

Our exclusive, ever-growing library of curated content for going deeper: lectures, plant studies, interviews, guided journeys, and unpublished works, including replays of our Deepening Sessions.

The Collection is organized into six areas:

Healing Themes: In-depth exploration of how essences work with specific conditions and experiences, including a presentation on Ancestral and Collective Trauma and Flower Essence Therapy as a Complementary Intervention for People with Autism.

Plant Observation and Attunement: Structured presentations on learning to see plants as teachers. Includes sessions on Lavender and Queen Anne's Lace through a Multidimensional Framework, a Chicory Plant Study, and an Introduction to Botanical Plant Families. Going deeper into the felt sense of plant relationship, there's a selection of recordings from Ruth's Open Circles attunements.

Guided Journeys: A place for replays of our guided meditations, including Ruth's signature Aligning with Soul Guidance, and more to come.

Working with Animals: Practical content for animal practitioners, including a full module from Kathleen on working with Rescue dogs.

Conversations: Some rare and intimate recorded conversations with our favorite mentors and teachers.

Deepening Session Replays: Monthly Deepening Session replays are added here so you can return to them anytime.

New content is added regularly.

"Ruth's wisdom is unsurpassable and I truly feel as if I'm in the presence of a flower essence sage. Ro's astute and lasered-in perspective was beyond generous — both validating and inspiring. Kathleen's space holding and facilitation is pristine, profound, deeply caring, and thoughtful. You three are the best! It's an inspiration to witness the way you all weave your skills and strengths together. What a gift to the flower world."" —Diomira

Your Mentors & Facilitators

Ruth Toledo Altschuler

There is a reason practitioners describe being in Ruth's presence as sitting with a flower essence sage. With more than three decades in practice and a pivotal role in establishing flower essence therapy as a recognized modality in Brazil, Ruth brings a depth of clinical experience that is genuinely rare in this field.

At Flower Essence Studies, Ruth teaches the FES Practitioner Certification Training, Soul Alchemy for Emotional Wellness, and other deepening courses. She co-facilitates the Client Care Mentoring Group alongside Kathleen.

In the Client Care group especially, her ability to hold complexity, to see the practitioner's uncertainty alongside the client's need and offer perspective that illuminates both, is something members return to again and again.

  • Certified Flower Essence Practitioner, Educator, and Mentor
  • Authorized FES Certification Program Instructor
  • Founder of Essence Mentoring and Flower Essence Studies
  • Host and Facilitator of Essence Circles
Kathleen Aspenns

Kathleen has a particular gift for helping practitioners develop the quality of attention this work requires — the quiet, patient kind of looking that reveals what essences are actually doing, and why.

In her 17 years of private practice she has worked with humans, horses, and the full range of animals and the people who love them.

As the founder of the Flora of Asia line of flower essences, developed from herbal plants used in Chinese Medicine and cultivated in California, Kathleen brings an essence researcher's eye to everything she teaches.

At Flower Essence Studies, Kathleen teaches the Energy Boundary Reset and Canine Care courses, and more. She leads the Animal Cases Mentoring Group, co-leads the Client Care group with Ruth, and hosts the Self Care Circle with Ro.

  • Certified Flower Essence Practitioner, Educator, and Nature Intuitive
  • Animal and Equine Practitioner in the Tellington TTouch Method
  • Founder of the Flora of Asia Flower Essences and Flower Essence Studies
  • Host of The Flower Essence Podcast
Rochana Felde

Rochana brings two distinct and complementary perspectives to this membership: that of an integrative flower essence practitioner/plant spirit researcher, as well as a business coach for flower essence solopreneurs.

Her background spans herbalism, aromatherapy, information technology, and business operations — an unusual combination that shows up in how practically and creatively she helps practitioners think about their work in the world. She's spent years helping to build practices that are both sustainable and true to who they are.

At Flower Essence Studies, Ro creates instructional and marketing content for the school and teaches foundational courses, business building techniques, and more. She leads the Business Building Mentoring Group and co-facilitates the Self Care Circle with Kathleen.

"It has been incomparably helpful to have savvy guidance, open ears and hearts that can relate to where I am at, and know more of the path to blossoming a successful business that is grounded in the profound work of flower essences. I feel I have more of a roadmap and clearer understanding of who I want to serve. Ruth, Rochana and Kathleen make a well-rounded team of mentors that I am confident can help any burgeoning flower essence business no matter the niche or style of practice." —Lena

FAQ

What's the difference between the Essence Deepening and Essence Essentials memberships?

Essence Essentials ($20/month) is designed for newer students and those wanting community and foundational support. It includes the Self Care Circle, a curated course and resource bundle, and access to our community forum.

Essence Deepening ($98/month) includes everything in Essence Essentials plus all three practitioner mentoring groups, monthly Deepening Sessions, the Deepening Collection content library, the online Membership Community forum, and 20% off our full course catalog.

Are there any prerequisites?

The Client Care and Animal Cases groups are designed for those who have completed, or are in the process of completing, the flower essence practitioner training, whether through our school or another. These groups build on that foundation rather than replacing it.

The Business Building group is for those who have an active business practice or are in the process of launching one.

The Self Care Circle, included in both memberships, welcomes anyone with a basic understanding of flower essences and a desire to explore their own journey with the plants.

Who is the Essence Deepening Membership for if I'm not a practitioner?

You don't need to be seeing clients to belong here. Many of our members study flower essences deeply for personal growth, spiritual development, or as a complement to other healing modalities. If you're serious about going further with this work, this membership was built for you too.

Can I join if I'm in the middle of practitioner training?

Yes — in fact many students find that participating in the mentoring groups during their training accelerates their learning significantly. The Client Care group in particular offers real-world case perspective that complements what you're studying.

How do the monthly meetings work?

Each group meets once a month on Zoom, facilitated by experienced mentors. Sessions run 90 minutes and are recorded and posted within 24 hours for those who can't attend live. After each session the Zoom room stays open for 30 minutes of optional, unrecorded social time.

What are the Deepening Sessions?

Each month we go deeper into a single topic together. A piece of content from the Deepening Collection is shared with members in advance — a lecture, a plant study, a recorded conversation. You have time to watch, listen, and sit with it before we gather live to explore it further. These sessions are recorded and added to the Deepening Collection for you to return to anytime.

When do the groups meet?

Client Care: First Wednesday of the month, 10:00–11:30am Pacific
Deepening Sessions: Second Wednesday of the month, 10:00–11:30am Pacific
Animal Cases: Second or Third Saturday of the month, 10:00–11:30am Pacific
Business Building: Third Wednesday of the month, 10:00–11:30am Pacific
Self Care Circle: Fourth Wednesday of the month, 10:00–11:30am Pacific

See our Calendar for specific dates.

What if I can't attend live?

All sessions are recorded and posted within 24 hours. Many members participate primarily through recordings and the community forum — both are fully supported ways to engage with the membership.

How long will I have access to recordings and the Deepening Collection?

You have full access to all recordings, the Deepening Collection, and the community forum for as long as your membership is active. Upon cancellation, access ends at the close of your current billing period.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If you're not satisfied for any reason, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment by emailing us at [email protected].

How long should I expect to stay to get real value?

This work unfolds over time. One month gives you a taste — three months is where members consistently report meaningful shifts in their confidence, their practice, and their sense of community. We don't require a minimum commitment, but we do encourage you to give yourself at least that much time.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Membership is month-to-month and you can cancel at any time. You won't be billed beyond your current period.

Are individual group subscriptions available?

Yes. If you're interested in a single mentoring group rather than the full bundle, Client Care, Animal Cases, and Business Building are each available as standalone subscriptions at $44/month.

The Self Care Circle is available as part of the Essence Essentials membership for $20.

The Deepening Sessions are only available as part of the Essence Deepening Membership.
